What a win! The Villians offense finally showed up and didn’t put it all on the defense…thanks guys.
I could just sense before the game that it was going to be our day. We had almost double digit fan support, it was a glorious morning of a long weekend, and Eric was early enough that he could start the game (granted without shin pads).
Tom was there for moral support and to get his drink on at Tailgaters.
The scoring was started with a Blast from the back line, as the defense pushed up and got into the offense. Eric made a great diagonal pass back that Ryan smartly left alone. BOOM!! GOAL!!! 1-0 Villa
Next up was Fares, I don’t remember how it got to him, all I remember is him depositing it in the top right corner 2-0. Holy Sh!t we were up 2 goals!!! AND THERES MORE!
Next was Garvin skied for a header around mid-field, yes we won a head ball around mid-field, right to Rabbito who flicked it over the top to Juice who like the scoring machine he was (LOL) drilled it by the imposing backup goalie into the onion bag.
3-0 At halftime.
Then Juice scored again for a 4-0 bulge (and a bulge in my shorts cuz we were going to win!)
The defense was lead by Conor and this new guy we picked up Joe “Jaws-of-Life” Chamas. Jaws-of-life cuz if you’re the other team that’s what you need to get him off of you!
Chris had some fantastic saves and great outlet throws to turn the pressure back on them. Too bad we cost him the shutout, but when your up 4-0 the defense might have checked out a little early.
And other people did some good things but honestly it was 5 days and 60 beers ago, so I can’t be specific.
2-game point scoring streak now lets go stick our collective foot up Jorge’s ass and get a 2-game winning streak!
Oh and Jaime blow a breakaway cuz he is sooooo slow!
